My Chair Fetish at Scott’s Antique Market
Our readers know that we are monthly visitors to the famous Atlanta Scott’s Antique Market – one of the largest Antique Markets in the country that opens the 2nd weekend of every month.
I came home this Friday and reviewed my photos and realized an obvious trend – my chair fetish continues! To me, repurposing an old chair is like creating a new gem.
From our friends at Parker Kennedy, this malachite beauty caught my eye (the seat and back are fabric)!
I wish we were designing a teenagers room right now because I would have been whipping out the checkbook for this one!
A set of these chairs would make an entire room – a dining room, keeping room, porch – drool!
I recently bought this ugly duckling at another antique market in town for $85 for my master bedroom. It’s a swivel rocker and SO comfortable.
TA DA!! Now it’s a beauty in the corner of my bedroom. Easy shmeasy!
So the next time you see an interesting chair, think outside the box for what that chair could be!

Honestly, we are super-women plain and simple. Not only do we run a crazy busy, full service design firm in Atlanta, but we are mothers, wives, sisters, daughters, TJ Maxx addicts, readers, tweeters, lovers of food and wine and so much more! We hope you enjoying seeing our work and reading about all the things that inspire us in the wonderful world of design! - Joann and Kelly

I have a chair fetish as well! My house is overrun with all kinds. I love the yellow painted chairs and the reupholstered one, saw one at Goodwill today, I need to go check tomorrow to see if it’s still there. Great post!
Love the yellow and black!
